Driven by her versatile singing and the energy of her band, songs from the debut album Amnesia emerge that are both experimental and surprisingly accessible.
Poetic English and French lyrics tell of longing for home, mystical connection with nature, and utopian dreams. The Leipzig ensemble around the German-French singer Nora Benamara consists of Robbi Nakayama (piano), Lorenz Heigenhuber (double bass), and André van der Heide (drums) – four outstanding newcomers of the German jazz scene.
