The musician Noga Erez, singer and producer from Tel Aviv, is considered "the music sensation" on international stages with her creative partner and life partner Ori Rousso. Provocative hits like END OF THE ROAD and VIEWS fill halls and make her Israel's hottest music export. As she, troubled by personal disagreements, works on her biggest album yet, her life is shaken by the political events in her homeland. Between sold-out concerts, uncompromising art, and a world in a state of emergency, she searches for answers — and for her own voice. The artist takes no offense at the pop-cultural exploitation of protest. With extraordinary closeness, Jono and Benji Bergmann tell the story of an artist who refuses to be co-opted or silenced. NOGA is an intimate, multi-layered, and highly topical portrait of stardom — and of the courage to follow one's own path, even when the world around one is teetering. Noga Erez was born in 1989 — one year before the Second Gulf War — in Israel, studied composition at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and, like all male and female Israeli adults, was ultimately conscripted into the army, fortunately only in the music corps. NOGA had its world premiere in the competition at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York and its German premiere at the FILMFEST in Munich.
