The path is marked by her complicated relationships with Paul Celan, Hans Werner Henze, and Max Frisch, and an relentless struggle for her own, radical language between public fame and existential crises. On the 100th anniversary of Ingeborg Bachmann, Regina Schilling achieves a sensuous as well as an intellectual approach to one of the most significant writers of the 20th century.
