The non-profit organization PREVENT 99 will offer free and anonymous testing for Hepatitis B and C, HIV, and syphilis to the general public. People can come without an appointment. A special mobile unit will be stationed on Tuesday, October 6, from 1 PM to 5 PM in Na Sadech Park in České Budějovice. The testing is quick and discreet. A healthcare professional will perform the test using capillary blood taken from a finger. After the examination, each tested individual will learn their result within a few minutes. Why get tested? Many infections, such as HIV or Hepatitis C, may not show symptoms for many years. Many people are unaware that they are infected. Free testing is an opportunity to detect the disease and obtain necessary information for prevention or treatment. By getting tested, individuals protect not only themselves but also their loved ones. Mobile testing for the public is provided by PREVENT 99 in collaboration with the Czech AIDS Help Society. The free testing is supported by AbbVie.
