Description

With BACKROOMS, director Kane Parsons transforms the idea of an unpredictable parallel world from strangely empty commercial spaces into a claustrophobic horror thriller. Barren, labyrinthine office corridors, endless beige-yellow walls, an incessant, unbearably loud hum of fluorescent tubes: The "Backrooms" depict a new kind of nightmare, a deserted parallel world of repeating, windowless floors that at first glance mirror our reality but slip away with each step. Disconcertingly, the labyrinthine rooms seem abandoned, yet you are not alone there... Starring Oscar-nominated Chiwetel Ejiofor and Renate Reinsve, who threaten to lose themselves in the depths of the eerie Backrooms. Also appearing are Mark Duplass, Lukita Maxwell, Finn Bennett, Avan Jogia, and Robert Bobroczkyi.
