From November 27 to 29, 2026, the 30th edition, an anniversary, of our Advent market will be visited by many visitors in the historic town of Bischofszell to experience the true magic of the Advent season. The traditional highlight attracts many guests from near and far to the old town of Bischofszell to enjoy the great atmosphere and the unique ambiance at the market. The over 120 market stalls are spread out in the old town, stroller-friendly for visitors, from Grubplatz-West via Bogenturm, Museumsgarten, Marktgasse, Hirschenplatz, Tuchgasse to the upper Kirchgasse. Particularly noteworthy are the wonderful Christmas and gift ideas and the especially festively decorated stalls. The official opening takes place on Friday, November 27 at 6:00 p.m. in front of the town hall, with an official welcoming speech, musical accompaniment, the entry of the bishops, the Samichläuse with their donkeys, and the angel girls, who will have a special surprise ready. A special highlight for children is the beautiful children's carousel and the wonderful nativity scene with life-sized artist figures. Food and drink are also provided by eight cozy Advent pubs at the Advent market. Music lovers are also catered for, as on Saturday, November 28, at 6:00 p.m., the Adventsmarkt Bischofszell association offers a unique free concert in the Catholic collegiate church, St. Pelagius, Bischofszell. The special magic of the mixed choir will get guests in the mood for the upcoming Christmas season.
