Description

Major works for piano trio from the Baltic region by Latvian composer Vasks and Russian composer Shostakovich. The award-winning violinist Niklas Walentin, who has received over 25 international awards, is at home in both the classical music and jazz worlds. He has performed in all the renowned concert halls around the world and is a regular guest at major music festivals in Europe, Russia, and the USA. In 2020, he completed the complete recording of the solo sonatas for violin by Eugène Ysaÿe. Toke Møldrup is one of the most well-known Danish cellists and dedicates himself to contemporary music alongside the classical cello repertoire. Often unconventional and spectacular, as seen in his Bach Ultra Marathon: all 36 movements of the 6 suites for solo cello, complemented by 1 kilometer of running after each movement. Pianist Alexander McKenzie performs worldwide like his colleagues and is a key part of the chamber music scene. In 2018, he founded the Danish Chamber Ballet and composes music for this ensemble.
