Description
Unannounced and unexpected, an angel comes to Mary (Gospel of Luke 1:26ff). An encounter that turns her life upside down! - Often our daily life is filled with tasks and appointments, information and events. Is there room in our lives for the unexpected? How can we find more peace and give space to the unexpected and surprising, also from God? The silent weekend is an invitation to retreat to oneself and to God during Advent:
· Assistance to open oneself inwardly
· Silence and stillness, together and alone
· Christian meditation: engaging with a word from the Bible in various ways
· Practicing different forms of prayer, including wordless presence before God (contemplation) No prior meditation experience is required, but the willingness to spend the entire Saturday and Sunday morning in silence, except during singing and the listening circle (also during meals).
