Tarot: a Source of Individuation

Description

Originating from a card game in the Middle Ages, Tarot has experienced numerous revivals up to the present day. C. G. Jung called it "a window to the soul" and especially liked to see archetypes in the major arcana, the great themes, original images that help on the path to self-becoming. Artists like director Alejandro Jodorowsky and later the hippie movement discovered the explosive power of Tarot as a source of inspiration and a reactionary response to the establishment. Suitable for anyone interested in the cards and wanting to work with them, whether artistically, literarily, in an advisory role, or privately. We focus on the visual language, apart from fortune-telling. Since the imagery of the cards can never be fully exhausted and a "relecture" is worthwhile, both beginners and advanced participants are welcome. No prior knowledge is necessary. Participants are invited to bring their Tarot decks if available.
