by Alejandro Zuno (MX) A young Mexican couple is excited to welcome their first child, but when the baby is born, the medical staff, family, and colleagues put pressure on them. The demand to define the child becomes overwhelming, as if society itself depends on it. The baby is intersex; their anatomy does not allow for classification as 'girl or boy'.
Faced with social pressure from all sides and the heavy binary machinery, the couple is forced to make a quick decision, for or against a decisive operation. From injunctive violence to awareness, the obvious emerges: why decide for their child?
An anchored, wise, and educational narrative that must be seen urgently. The screening on October 11 takes place at MEG.
