Textures – Literary Encounters

Description

As a multilingual event, Textures – Literary Encounters aims to break down the boundaries of literature and give it a lively and innovative image. The goal is to promote literature in all its diversity through an accessible, demanding, and attractive program. About fifty events (stage performances, readings, discussion rounds, exhibitions...) take place at various cultural venues in the city of Freiburg.
Textures is proud to stand for a high-quality, diverse, and committed program. Textures is proud to support artists by compensating them appropriately, while also ensuring optimal access for the audience. Textures is proud to be supported by more than 50 volunteers from all generations; and proud to highlight Stand Up Writing, role-playing, sign language, and literature from Quebec this year. Connecting disciplines, connecting generations, connecting languages—that is the task of Textures—because that is exactly what literature's task is.
