Between sawdust and sweat, a raw choreography of work emerges. “Sawdust Symphony” conceives the work process as a physical score and negotiates the tension between creation and exhaustion in a performative condensation. Sawing, drilling, hammering, planing – a symphony of craftsmanship. The smell of fresh wood and flying sawdust characterizes this unusual circus piece. It tells of the human desire for occupation, the process from the first vision to the finished workpiece, the tragedy of work, and the relationship between machine and human. Three obsessed individuals discover and transform their space and themselves to let the audience participate in a unique DIY experience. “Sawdust Symphony” is an intense dialogue somewhere between satisfaction and frustration.
