Description
CaccHho CucchhA unfolds as a resonance space where quiet sounds and rhythms arise through movement, touch, and interaction. “Cacho” refers to an immeasurable, leftover piece of time. “Cucha” means shelter or safe place. At the center of the installation, a large-scale wall tapestry weaves temporal, geographical, and content layers like an open picture book. Play platforms and spatial structures invite participation. Costumes produce sounds and change the way of moving. As rattling roots, jumping barnacles, scratching cicadas, and rain snails, children and adults compose stories, gestures, and sounds together.
The exhibition was initiated by de Appel in Amsterdam and realized in co-production. For the Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein, it was further developed for children aged 0 to 4 years and supplemented with two works by Ferdinand Nigg (1865–1949).
Admission to the exhibition is free.
Regular playshops invite movement, sound, free play, inventing, and storytelling.
Supported by the Hans Groeber Foundation and other funding partners.
