After a week of performances in Parisian jazz clubs, New York guitarist Saul Rubin is now coming to Kulturhaus Kehl. Saul Rubin, known for his soulful and virtuosic playing, has toured in Europe and the USA alongside jazz legends Sonny Rollins and Roy Hargrove. He is considered a fixture of the New York jazz scene and has performed with international stars such as Hank Jones, Gregory Porter, Lew Soloff, Frank Wess, John Hicks, Sherman Irby, and many others. As a sought-after musician, Saul Rubin has played at Blue Note (Tokyo and New York), Jazz Standard, Dizzy's Club Coca Cola, Fat Cat, Smalls, Mezzrow, Hollywood Bowl, and concert halls worldwide—from London to Vienna, Geneva, Barcelona, and Prague.
Sonny Rollins says of him: "Saul is a consummate musician, a person who understands the feelings of others and is gentle. He is everything I could wish for in a bandmate."
Joining him are Stefan Sirbu (piano), Joris Teepe (double bass), and Steve Altenberg (drums).
