Sonja Kowollik Piano Julia Smirnova studied at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin, initially with Antje Weithaas and later with Stephan Picard. Since September 2025, Julia has been a member of the Munich Philharmonic and combines her orchestral work with an active solo and chamber music career. Sonja Kowollik became a young student in Münster at the age of nine. Subsequently, she was trained by Claudio Martínez Mehner and Nina Tichman in Cologne, by Matti Raekallio in Helsinki, and by Eldar Nebolsin at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.
