Print’n Stitch 2026

Description

Transform photographs - turn moments into textile stories. First print, then stitch – the combination of these two techniques opens up exciting possibilities for design. In the workshop "Print’n Stitch," we transfer photographs onto printable films or fabrics, which we then embroider. This creates unique pieces that highlight personal memories, vintage scenes, and other image motifs in a new light. The course begins with an introduction to the most important fill, contour, and relief stitches. Then we select photographs, either analog or digital, brought along or found: old or new images, photos of people, nature, landscapes, still lifes, or abstract motifs, in color or black and white. These are transferred onto fabric and then embroidered. We work with collages, contour individual image parts, or fill them in. The workshop is open to all interested parties. No prior knowledge is required; even advanced embroiderers are welcome. The course takes place on Friday and Saturday. Course fee: 240 CHF plus material costs. Members of the Textile Museum Association receive a 10% discount upon presentation of a valid ID. Information + Registration: A binding registration is required for this event.
