Description

After 25 years, the HVM presents the Asian collection anew. The museum invites visitors to experience the diversity and complexity of Asian cultures: be it ghosts and gods from India, be it the shadow theater from Indonesia or the Mahjong game from China. Selected pieces from the collection, which is unique in Switzerland, open up a view of games as part of Asian cultures. But not only that. Supplemented by objects of contemporary culture and a range of different media, the exhibition shows that culture itself has the character of a game.
