12 years
Gabriel Mascaro (BR, MX, NL, CL) Tereza, 77 years old, has spent her entire life in a small industrial town in the Amazon until the day she receives an order from the government to move to a "senior colony": an isolated place where elderly people will "enjoy" their last years. But Tereza refuses to accept this imposed fate. She then embarks on a clandestine journey through the rivers of the Amazon to fulfill one last dream. The adventure is built on encounters, freedom, and imagination, taking the form of a powerful feminist revenge: an elderly heroine proudly shows the way to emancipation.
Wrapped in colorful and poetic photography, a dystopian film with fantastical elements that flirts with realism and gives a sense of vertigo... All possibilities, however, lie at the end of the road.
