Description

The Comedian Harmonists (Staatstheater Karlsruhe) are performing this year's New Year's Concert at the Kulturforum Illenau with the program "Einmal schafft's jeder". The Comedian Harmonists, consisting of five singers and a pianist, were the first boy band in the world. They started their international career from Berlin, carrying many of their evergreen songs such as "Mein kleiner grüner Kaktus", "Veronika der Lenz ist da", "Ein Freund ein guter Freund" and "Wochenend und Sonnenschein".
In their concert program "Einmal schafft's jeder", the audience experiences a touching and entertaining journey into the 1920s and 1930s of the last century, witnessing the beginnings, development, and great successes of the Comedian Harmonists.
Since three of the members were of Jewish descent, the then Reich Music Chamber banned further performances at the height of their career.
Their story, their songs, and their unmatched vocal sound continue to live on.
