Description
How does movement become dance? Where do certain moves come from and how do they travel around the world? Based on current exhibitions, we approach Hip-Hop as a dance and cultural form. Hip-Hop originated in the 1970s in the Bronx, New York. From there, its expressions and movements found their way into many parts of the world and were repeatedly adopted, modified, and further developed. Together, we learn about the background of Hip-Hop and try out basic moves and steps. What does a movement feel like? What happens when you change it or combine it with other movements? And what emerges when we move together? → Led by: Giuliana Beya Dridi, artist and dancer, and Baba Altenburger, dancer and Hip-Hop teacher
→ No prior knowledge necessary. Please bring comfortable clothing and sneakers.

→ Registration by 22.10. at info@kunsthausglarus.ch
