They sleep upside down, rest during the day, and are awake at night. Bats are different yet like us: they appreciate quiet living spaces in villages, enjoy the company of their kind, and care tenderly for their young. Right outside our door, bats lead a life that is as fascinating as it is hidden. The exhibition presents typical species of the canton of Glarus, explains their way of life, and shows how we can experience and support bats. Real specimens, interactive stations, photos, and films as well as entertaining information invite you to discover these secret neighbors. Acoustic experiences are provided by listening stations with bat calls.

General Information
