Description

The first two chapters of the Gospel of Luke tell stories from the childhood of Jesus, from his birth to his visit to the temple as a twelve-year-old. Woven into the text are some songs that are among the best known in the Bible («Gloria», «Benedictus», «Magnificat», «Nunc dimittis»). The childhood stories "depict in legendary form that God did not remain beyond the world, but became a real presence in it and therefore also wants to become present in the life of the reader" (Eduard Schweizer). The target group of the retreat are women and men who want to enter into silence in the hustle and bustle of the pre-Christmas season and from there want to orient themselves towards the Christmas days. Interest in theological questions and familiarity with silent meditation are desirable. Otherwise, there are no special requirements for participation.

General Information
