Description

Magic gives birth to images that depict the limbo, the inanimate comes to life and leaves us mesmerized, haunted.
On a Stabat Mater by Vivaldi, a man haunted by his ghosts moves away from the shore and then gently sinks into the limbo. This strange journey, rhythmically accompanied by classical and electronic sounds, plunges us into the heart of a symbolic tale populated by magical creatures. Light pierces the darkness of the scenery to illuminate the different realities of the traveler and the reminiscences of his existence. Magic is everywhere, on stage as in the air that the character breathes. Using the figure of the puppeteer and his double, Étienne Saglio delicately blurs the line between the living and the inanimate to better tell us about the lives of the dead, wandering souls, and their guardians.
