Should we always dream of elsewhere? Lady lives in the suburbs of the Nigerian capital, she is one of the few female taxi drivers and roams the city independently. Soon Pinky, her childhood friend, reappears in her life with a lucrative proposal: to be a private driver for her and her fellow prostitutes, at the heart of Lagos nights. A choice that will change her life, her values, and her worldview. For her first feature film, the director, who grew up in Lagos, constructs a “contemporary neo-noir African film”, haunted by contrasts of lights and sounds, where the heroine transforms, not through conquest, but through connection. An intense immersion, a story of hope and collective emancipation.
