Description
Christianity has its roots in Judaism and Hellenism, as shown by early rituals, symbols, ritual gestures, prayers, and sacred spaces. Therefore, the Jesus tradition practiced an initiation path through stages of baptism (Baptisma) – anointing (Chrisma) – grace act (Eucharistia) – to the spiritual bridal chamber (Nymphon). The rediscovered texts (Nag Hammadi) provide interesting additions to the canonical Gospels regarding women's initiation, as well as spiritual development possibilities and the lost initiation practice of Jesus. The position of Mary Magdalene and her touching initiation ritual are interesting. We go on a search for traces using relevant texts, images, yoga exercises, and singing (church). The seminar is suitable for experiencing spiritual paths and for better understanding pre-Christian, historical, and also ecumenical contexts. This leads to appreciation of the Jewish roots of our culture, up to the "Our Father Our".
