HERSTORY x buchklub with Anna Rosenwasser

Description

HERSTORY meets buchklub: Anna Rosenwasser – Heart – feminist strategies and queer hope Moderation: Elena Ritmeisters Anna Rosenwasser is an author and national councilor focusing on feminism and LGBTQ issues. We can all use hope – but without engaging with what makes us angry, it’s not possible. Anna Rosenwasser addresses in Heart the questions often asked of her as an activist: How can we deal with the reality of violence without losing our confidence? Where to put our anger that arises in problematic discussions? Why do many women and queers find it so difficult to take up space – and what tricks can we use to do so anyway? The texts describe the current realities of women and queer people with empathy and humor. They open perspectives, often shed light on misunderstandings, and encourage not to despair alone but to resist collectively with imagination. Men are very welcome at this event! The association Gemeinsam gegen Gewalt an FLINTAs will be present with a care team and an info point with materials from various specialized agencies on the topic. There will also be a book table from the Kronengasse bookstore. Wheelchair places: Wheelchair users need a regular ticket, the venue is wheelchair accessible. More info: www.kiff.ch
