Farbenrausch

Description

This concert showcases Alexander Skrjabin's 2nd Symphony, known for its blend of late Romantic heroism and radical modernism, alongside Sergei Prokofiev's 1st Symphony, which humorously and ironically references Haydn and Mozart. The program is contrasted with Béla Bartók's last, unfinished composition, his intimate Viola Concerto performed by soloist Ricardo Gaspar of the St. Gallen Symphony Orchestra. Attendees will experience a rich variety of musical styles and expressive depths.

Highlights

Performances of Skrjabin's 2nd Symphony, Prokofiev's 1st Symphony, and Bartók's Viola Concerto; featuring Ricardo Gaspar on viola; diverse musical styles from romanticism to modernism.
