The Wandering Knight

Description

The Wandering Knight is a work that is as bewildering as it is touching. Between June 11 and 22, 2026, Abraham Poincheval walked through some of the most important sites for the formation of the Swiss Confederation. Starting from Rütli Meadow, he set out for Freiburg, dressed in medieval armor weighing over 30 kilos. The knight seems to come straight from a distant and identity-forming story. He is the catalyst for a landscape where time periods overlap, and narratives intertwine between memories, stories, myths, and legends.
