Description
This workshop teaches the basics of Chinese pole. Ideal for beginners and anyone looking to deepen or refresh their fundamental skills. The Chinese pole is an impressive discipline within circus arts, where artists perform acrobatics on a vertical, rubber-coated pole. Unlike pole dance, the Chinese pole is taller and allows for a variety of tricks and poses thanks to its special coating. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of this art form under the guidance of two experienced artists. The course starts with exercises on the ground and gradually takes you up into the height. Techniques such as climbing, holding positions, sliding, and transitions will be taught. No prior knowledge is required, but physical fitness is advantageous. Clothing - Leggings (no jogging pants) - Old jeans: You should be able to move well in them – you will wear them over the leggings - Shoes: clean Converse, Vans, Kung-Fu, or boxing shoes - Long-sleeved top without a zipper Participants and additional information: With Anna Kapp & Christoph TergauHighlights
