Guest at the Museum: Denk Mal Glarus

Description

Historical townscapes, villas, industrial buildings, churches, public spaces, and landscapes shape the face of the Glarus region. They tell its history – and at the same time raise the question of how we want to deal with our architectural heritage in the future. The exhibition Denk Mal Glarus invites you to rediscover the building culture of the Glarus region. It shows successful examples of preservation, recalls lost buildings, and focuses on places whose future is still open today. It aims to provoke reflection and promote dialogue about the value of our built environment. The exhibition was developed at the invitation of the cantonal office for monument preservation and townscape protection and is a guest at the Museum of the Canton of Glarus. It was conceived by the Glarus architects Reto Fuchs and Andreas Ruby and is supplemented by guest contributions from the associations Countdown 2030 and Klima Glarus.
