After a challenging summer, the Alp teams are returning home. At the Alp reception in Näfels, a speaker shares interesting facts about the Alps summer in the Glarnerland and the returning Sennten from Obersee and Schwändital. The festival site at the schoolyard in Näfels opens at 9 a.m. with a local products market, alphorn sounds, and the festival catering with alpine dishes for visitors to enjoy. It is worth arriving early. The Sennten have an approximate schedule. From around 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., five Alp families from Nidersee-Grappli, Obersee-Rauti, and the Stattboden will be welcomed, all of whom are making their way from their Alp to the valley. Visitors are advised to come to Näfels by public transport or bicycle. The Näfels train station is only about 15 minutes from the festival site in the village. Welcome to the Alp-Empfang Näfels.
