Magic of the Boy's Voice

In the family concert for the Nikolaus Festival, selected soloists from the Boy's Choir of the Freiburg Choir Academy present a varied program of sacred songs, art and folk songs. For centuries, trained boy's voices have fascinated audiences with their purity and original musicality, bringing tears to the eyes of opera-goers and especially - visitors. Not only Mozart knew this in his Magic Flute. And nothing prepares one better for a (male) singing career than membership in a boy's choir, whether with the Thomaskantors, the Windsbachers, or the Regensburg Cathedral Spatzen. The soloists of this concert have many years of choir experience and are also students in the voice training classes of the Choir Academy. Boris Böhmann, the artistic director of the Choir Academy, will accompany on keyboard instruments.
