Looking for rock after Christmas? The traditional X-MAS Rock Festival takes place on December 29, 2026, for the first time at Karlstorbahnhof Heidelberg. The "Tribute to the Giants of Rock History" features this year with "99 - Ninety-Nine" (TOTO Tribute), the "Fou Fighterz" (Foo Fighters Tribute), as well as the hosts and local favorites "Cheap Purple" (Deep Purple Tribute), offering a stylistic range from pop-rock, classic rock, to alternative rock. The seven musicians of Ninety-Nine revive the legendary hits of the cult band TOTO, such as "Rosanna" or "Africa," with impressive musical precision and captivating stage presence. "Cheap Purple" takes the audience on a time travel through over fifty years of Deep Purple band history with original Marshall and Hammond amps—from "Child in Time" to the latest albums. As headliners, Fou Fighterz play all the mega hits of Dave Grohl and Co., such as "The Pretender," "Everlong," or "Best of You." The band, led by drummer Markus Kullmann (ex-Glenn Hughes), performs with full energy, a feast for the ears and eyes, and is indistinguishably similar to the original.
