In a relaxed conversation, the writer Marcus Imbsweiler and the composer Timo Jouko Herrmann examine a piece of music in detail, tell the story of its creation, provide musical examples, and explain scores. They also clarify some misunderstandings - for example, whether Salieri really had anything to do with Mozart's death. (He did not.) With great expertise, equally great dedication to music, and always "con brio," Imbsweiler and Herrmann present works of various genres and epochs. Therefore, Musical Sunday is a program of the DAI that features many "premieres"! With Timo Jouko Herrmann and Marcus Imbsweiler, two enthusiasts come to speak who have their very own linguistic approach to music. Imbsweiler has so far published novels and stories about composers from Haydn to Shostakovich. Herrmann is guest conductor of the Heidelberg Symphony Orchestra; his rediscovery of the joy song "Per la ricuperata salute di Ofelia," composed by Salieri, Mozart, and Cornetti, made him known worldwide.
