Description

In 1973, Willi Ritschard (1918–1983) was elected to the Federal Council. The trained heating engineer was extremely popular among the people. The media even called him a "political star." On October 16, 1983, his life came to a sudden end. He died while hiking on the Grenchenberg. The exhibition, a takeover from the Wasseramt Museum, explores the public and private person of Willi Ritschard through images, objects, and audio documents. It is expanded at the Grenchen Museum to include questions of today that deal with politicians as public figures.
