Description
What do the bullfighters by Francisco de Goya and a Goethe screen print by Andy Warhol have in common? Both can be found in our collection! In 2026, for the first time at Villa Girard, where the Kunsthaus Grenchen was opened in 1984, a collection exhibition will be presented over an entire year. The idea behind it is to make a part of our constantly growing holdings accessible to people for an extended period. Through a cross-section of over 40 years of collection activity, a rich fund of international print graphics as well as selected paintings and sculptures are revealed. All of them will be brought to light and presented to the public for a longer time. Speaking of light. This elusive motif is also explored in content: How have artists captured its fleeting nature on paper?
