Renowned composer Danny Elfman, known for his work on films like Batman and Spider-Man, presents his cello concerto, a piece with strong visual and emotional power, performed by the acclaimed cellist Gautier Capuçon. Mussorgsky's 'Pictures at an Exhibition,' inspired by drawings of Viktor Hartmann, takes listeners on a musical tour through a gallery of vivid images, from a gnome to the great gates of Kiev. Conducted by the young and internationally recognized Aurel Dawidiuk, this evening promises a rich tapestry of imagination, color, and orchestral expression.
