Invisible? Animals in Hiding

Description

Animals are everywhere. They belong to all habitats on Earth. We see them as wild animals, livestock, pests, or pets – and they appear worldwide in stories, fairy tales, games, and artworks.

But there are also animals that lead a hidden life. Less is said about them. They are tiny, live deep underground, are active at night, hide in supplies, industrial halls, or even in stones millions of years old. Each of them is special in its own way. Museum Luzern presents five of these animals in the spotlight with the exhibition Animals in Hiding and tells their phenomenal stories. The in-house production is on display at Museum Luzern from June 12, 2026, to February 21, 2027, and then tours various natural history museums in Switzerland.
