Voice and Heart in Presence - MAAR, M. Beneš, K. Kuželková

Description

VOICE HEART in Presence Two experiential concerts by MAAR, Michal Beneš with Kája Kuželková and guests at the cinema Přítomnost. What happens when a boutique cinema, where you feel like you're in a cozy room, temporarily transforms into a magical space where not only listening occurs, but also singing, perceiving, and a little flying away in the magic of music, lights, words, but mainly what lies behind them. MAAR, Michal Beneš, and Kája Kuželka will bring a musical gathering to the cinema Přítomnost that straddles the line between concert, audiovisual experience, and communal singing. You can expect live music, voices, images, space, improvisation, and moments when it won't be entirely clear whether you're still in the cinema or somewhere a bit further away. MAAR works with the voice as a natural instrument and opens up space for communal soul singing through original and healing songs. Michal Beneš brings in guitar, ukulele, saxophone, flutes, looper — and mainly his voice, which is his most faithful instrument. His music oscillates between calmness, spontaneity, and playfulness. Kája Kuželka will add another color to the evening with the cello, energy, and presence. We promise a series of guests and surprises. This will not be a concert where you just sit and look forward. Rather, it's an evening where you can engage in your own way. You can sing along. You can just listen. And perhaps for a moment completely switch off your mind. No prescribed form, no pressure to perform. Just live music, voice, image, and space to truly be present for a while.
