Aneta Langerová & Orfanik Orchestra Jakuba Zitka

Description

A unique authorial project by composer and keyboardist Jakub Zitko will be performed live at Jazz Dock! The stage will also feature singers Aneta Langerová and Dorota Barová. Jakub Zitko combines postmodern jazz, electronics, contemporary classical music, rock, alternative, and innovative musical techniques and textures in his music. He works with sonically colorful surfaces, electronic sounds, and samples that organically enhance the atmosphere of the pieces or become carriers of their meaning. The melodies are atypical and the harmonies dense, often transcending conventional jazz categories. The music is charged with emotions – energy, melancholy, psychedelia, and, not least, humor. All of this was already evident in his compositions for the bands Muff and NUO. Now, these musical ingredients are being transferred to a new instrumentation with wind instruments, promising original music – both composed and improvised, full of surprising twists in dynamics and form!
