Description
A highly original tour that takes you to the places frequented by the witches and warlocks of Fribourg, from their alleged meetings with the devil by the Sarine river, to their execution site at Guintzet.
The tour begins near the Saint-Jean bridge and proceeds uphill. At each stop, some explanations are provided based on the historical documentation preserved at the Archives of the State of Fribourg: imprisonment and torture in the prison towers, sentencing at the Town Hall, execution of child-witches at Belluard, stake at Guintzet. The tour ends at Place Catherine-Repond.
