A remarkable testimony to the work of a 19th-century photographer, the glass negatives of Lausanne native André Schmid have everything to fascinate. In a scenography that highlights their expressive and timeless potential, these photographs captivate with their particular aesthetic, reminding us that the photographic image is also material.
Deployed in parallel, interventions by Léonore Baud, Olivier Jeannin, and the works of students from the ECAL Photography Bachelor's program foster an inspired dialogue between past and present, in a subtle mirror game with André Schmid's work. Registration required: musee.historique@lausanne.ch
