Description

Inspired by the eponymous short story by Henry James, The Turn of the Screw, composed by Benjamin Britten in 1954, is a lyrical work that highlights ghosts and spirits. During this two-voice tour, accompanied by playwright Catherine Ailloud-Nicolas and art historian Eleanor Philippoz, explore the world beyond of two spiritist artists: Madge Gill (1882-1961) and Augustin Lesage (1876-1954). The work will be performed at the Opéra de Lausanne from November 15 to 22.
