Invitation to Egypt. Egypt has recently become a very popular holiday destination for those looking to relax by the warm sea, preferably in all-inclusive hotels. Nothing against that. It is often said, "to each their own." Those who know me or follow my regular discussions about traveling around the world certainly do not expect me to talk about the coastal resorts of Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, or Marsa Alam by the Red Sea in my travel narrative about Egypt. I won't, because I haven't been there, and I don't plan to go. Egypt, with its area of a million square kilometers, offers travelers countless other interesting sights to explore. And it is precisely to some of these that I traveled with friends and my wife on two trips to this fascinating country. I will share experiences from these two trips in the segment Egypt is not just pyramids, which will take place on Tuesday, October 20, in the Small Hall of the Záložna in Litovel.
