MEXICO – YUCATAN FULL OF ADVENTURE Mexico is a colorful, vibrant, and pulsating country that can surprise you at every turn. Kateřina and Miloš Motani are returning to the stunning and mysterious Yucatán to discover new places, stories, and adventures. Right at the beginning of their journey, they are suspiciously often approached by the police. Then they are lured by the Caribbean with its turquoise waters warm as coffee, swimming with dolphins and rays, and especially an expedition to see whale sharks – the largest fish in the world, which can grow up to 14 meters long. They will explore beautiful cenotes, which are cave lakes, caves, and underground rivers. Some are home to schools of biting fish, while others were once sites of human sacrifices by the Mayans. In the tropical jungle, they will encounter crocodiles, coatis, raccoons, and spider monkeys. And for those who are not afraid, they can have their bellies tickled by a venomous tarantula! The journey will also take them to fascinating Mayan cities such as Tulum, Calakmul, Chichén Itzá, Uxmal, and Palenque. Here, they will find pyramids, ancient mysteries, and traditional rituals – the ball game pelota or performances by flying men, voladores. They will also glimpse the lives of the descendants of the Mayans in their traditional villages and the towns of San Cristóbal and San Juan Chamula, where very unique religious and ritual traditions still exist. The colorful face of Mexico will also be represented by colonial Oaxaca, the yellow Izamal, the colorful Campeche, the lively Mérida, and the coastal Veracruz. Mexican music – mariachi and marimba – will surely make every heart dance. And then comes the real adventure. The mysterious snake cave, pitch-black darkness, bats, snakes, and rare pink blind eels that few get to see. Finally, they will arrive at Chiapa de Corzo and experience the Mexican madness of music, dance, colorful costumes, masks, and the figures of Parachicos and Chuntas – men dressed as women. The streets come alive, and the captivating atmosphere is almost impossible to describe – it must be experienced! Mexico offers something unexpected every day – turquoise seas, jungles, exotic animals, ancient civilizations, mysterious rituals, traditions, flavors, music, and dance. You might just get a little dizzy from it all!
