Description
Kleist's novellas for people of today Antú Romero Nunes creates a theater cosmos from Kleist's radical stories for his 250th birthday. When does our judgment deceive us? In Kleist's novellas, one wrong word is enough to bring the prevailing conditions crashing down. The dilemma: Should one fight for one's own rights, even if it means destroying the whole world? Can love exist when mistrust between the fronts is deadly? This Kleist evening asks: Where did we go wrong? Time and again, the German dramatist and narrator dealt with the consequences arising from hurt, passion, and madness — in family, love, and state. The characters face each other mercilessly between a desire for justice and blindness. An evening about the fatal proximity of truth and error.
