Description
In 1937, the Erimanshof at Petersgraben, the artist's house of Basel painter Ernst Stückelberg (1831–1903), was demolished. Some wall painting fragments, which had been chipped out of the walls, were saved. They have found a new home in the monastery kitchen of Klingental after a long slumber. They provide insight into the private interior of a Basel artist of the 19th century and allow visitors to experience the aura in which Ernst Alfred Stückelberg, founder of monument preservation in Basel, grew up.
