Description
It's not often that the opportunity arises to hear flute, viola, and harp both in ensemble and in duo combinations and solo performances. Each instrument has a different sound production: wind, string, and plucked instruments come together to create a colorful, transparent sound that is often described as ethereal or mysterious. The dark tone of the viola acts as a bridge between the floating lightness of the flute and the pizzicato of the harp. The three musicians – masters of their craft and sought-after soloists, orchestra and chamber musicians with impressive careers – take us on a journey through French Romanticism.
