Description

The native Donaueschingen-born Fe Fritschi initially studied accordion in Trossingen, completed jazz piano studies with Pablo Held in Mainz, and has shared the stage with artists like Collin Vallon and Norma Winstone. Active both as a bandleader and as a sideman in various ensembles, he is appreciated for his melodic compositions as well as his improvisational flexibility and willingness to take risks. In 2023, he released an album with the band "Body Electric," which combines chamber jazz with fusion. At the concert at Donaueschingen's guckloch cinema, Fe Fritschi is supported by a band of emerging musicians from his adopted hometown Cologne, who experiment with musical styles from tango to rock and incorporate their own influences and backgrounds.
