Transgenerational Trauma

Description

In search of our identity, we also repeatedly end up with our own family. Transgenerational trauma, the unconscious transmission of unprocessed psychological burdens and trauma consequences to subsequent generations, has increasingly come into the focus of science and research in recent years. To kick off the 16 Days Against Gender-Based Violence, Kim de l'Horizon reads from the novel Blutbuch (2022), which was awarded the German and Swiss Book Prizes. In conversation with Prof. Dr. Andrea Abraham, an expert on transgenerational trauma in families, the discussion revolves around "family secrets that hang like fog over and between generations." A cooperation project of the Anna Göldi Museum and the Women's Center Glarus.
